Frankenweenie photos

Its seems a couple of photos have emerged of the lead character and his dog and also two supporting characters from Tim Burton's Exhibition at LACMA. These maquettes look fantastic! I really like how they have been painted to look like Burton's illustrations. The phenoms at Mackinnon & Saunders have done an outstanding job and I'm 100% sure the actual puppets will be very special indeed.
I have no doubts at all that this film will be amazing!

  2. This looks like the setup from Burton's exhibit last year at the MoMA which has since migrated to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (http://www.lacma.org/art/exhibition/tim-burton). Did they add these maquettes to this latest stop?

  4. I think I read somewhere that LA was to be its last stop. Kind of a hometown Burbank ending for Tim.

I made the trek to NY and fell in love all over again. One of my favorite parts was all the puppets and maquettes on display, including a beautiful and dilapidated Vincent.
